Volunteering
Acord Food Pantry welcomes new volunteers!
Areas of need:
- bag groceries and stock shelves one Wednesday or Saturday morning a month
- pick up donated food from local store or food bank one or two times a month
- unload delivery truck at Acord one or two Mondays a month
- help maintain the building
- organize or assist with food drives
- computer entry
If you are interested in volunteering at Acord, please speak with our volunteer coordinator to obtain information, and to arrange in advance specific dates to volunteer. You may e-mail the volunteer coordinator at volunteer@acordfoodpantry.org, or leave a message in her voice mailbox at (978) 468-7424.
Student volunteers
Students 14 and older can volunteer on their own.
Students 13 and younger need to come with a parent (or other adult) who will work alongside them.
Like adults, students must arrange volunteer dates in advance. Please contact our volunteer coordinator by email, or leave a message in her voice mailbox at (978) 468-7424.
Community service credit
Acord gladly provides letters documenting hours volunteered, for students performing community service to satisfy school, scout, or church requirements.
However, individuals of any age who need to perform court-ordered community service should arrange to do so elsewhere.
